The Premier of South Australia recently announced a Government restructure, placing an even greater emphasis on South Australia’s water resource management and water reform initiatives.

Effective 1 July 2010, South Australia has a new Department for Water, led by Scott Ashby as Chief Executive.

One of the 94 actions in Water for Good is to recognise the achievements of communities, individuals, schools, businesses, industry and government that are contributing to our future water security.

Many different groups in the water space have established awards programs to celebrate the achievements of those who go above and beyond in an effort to be innovative and smart when it comes to water use and conservation in South Australia.
