Water for Good
Water for Good is South Australia’s plan to secure sustainable water supplies for our health, our way of life, our economy and our environment - both now and in the future.
We live in a particularly dry state that is also feeling the added pressures of climate change, a harsh drought, and a growing population. Water for Good ensures there will always be enough water in South Australia.
Most importantly it will enable us to diversify our water supplies to reduce our reliance on the River Murray and other rain-dependent water sources.
The Water for Good website will keep you up-to-date with the latest water news and information.
New watering times
With heavy spring rainfall in the Adelaide Hills and water consumption tracking below SA Water’s forecast target under restrictions, more flexible watering times have been introduced for areas covered by level 3 water restrictions.
Dripper systems and hand-held hoses fitted with a trigger nozzle can now be used for a maximum of 5 hours a week between the hours of 6-9am or 6-9pm on any day. For further information, click here, or phone 1800 130 952.
